IADC HSE & Sustainability Conference

The Asia Pacific region is a rapidly growing market that will continue to demand oil and gas drilling and exploration. However, the industry needs leaders who are prepared for the future and can drive transformation to overcome challenges. Collaboration, innovation, investment, and new technologies will be necessary to achieve efficiency, sustainability, and meet stakeholder expectations.

The IADC HSE & SUSTAINABILITY ASIA PACIFIC 2023 CONFERENCE & EXHIBITION, happening on May 23-24, 2023, will address these critical challenges faced by drilling professionals. With extended low oil prices, companies must upgrade assets, streamline organizations, and provide employees with appropriate skills while remaining up-to-date with the digital oilfield evolution.

On the first day of the program, there are keynote presentations from executives at PETRONAS and PTTEP, a market outlook presentation from Rystad Energy, and two panel discussions on workforce attraction and development and safety culture and effective leadership. Additionally, there will be industry 4.0 technology presentations, including the DROPS safety training in virtual reality by Shell which Stopdrop are also a sponsor of. A presentation on leveraging real-time location monitoring solutions for personnel safety by Transocean (digitized red-zone management), and augmented reality technology benefits to well control safety management by Vertechs Energy Group and PetroChina.

The program also includes a workshop on talent retention and a special session with university students discussing their expectations and experiences in the industry. There are also networking breaks, poster sessions, and an open exhibition throughout the event. On the second day, there will be a keynote presentation from Velesto Energy, a featured presentation from Sapura Drilling, a presentation from IPIECA, and a panel discussion on ESG and sustainability, with a technical marketing manager from Transocean, a rig manager from Noble Corporation, an international human rights lawyer & ESG advocate, and a Vice President from Shelf Drilling as panelists. Finally, the program will conclude with the 2022 South East Asia Chapter Safety Awards.
